The “Live to be Different” foundation, led by NASCAR driver, Bubba Wallace, was formed to breathe new life into individuals striving to achieve their goals, no matter their age, skin color, disabilities or ambitions. The foundation’s efforts aim to support disadvantaged individuals, that are in need of educational, medical, social or other physical and /or non-physical assistance. “Live to be Different” believes people can achieve anything they put their mind to, and strives to support their efforts.

Bubba Wallace

A graduate of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program, Darrell “Bubba” Wallace became the first African-American in 50 years to win in one of NASCAR’s top three national touring series.

Now firmly established as one of NASCAR’s top young drivers with six series wins, Bubba reached the top of the sport when he made the announcment that he’d be competing full time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in 2018, with Richard Petty Motorsports, being the first African-American to do so since 1971.

Bubba once again raised the bar in 2018, when he became the highest finishing African-American driver at the world renowned Daytona 500, when he took the checkered flag in the 2nd position.
